Dear Friends and Colleagues,We warmly invite you to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Global Network on Financial Geography (FinGeo). During the AGM, we will be reporting on FinGeo’s work over the past year (in 2022) and what we have in store for members in the coming year.Date: 20th February 2023 (Monday)Time: 1.00pm London / 8.00am New York / 9.00pm SingaporeExpected duration: 1 hour 30 minutesRegister in advance for the AGM here:https://durhamuniversity.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArceytrjoqGdMF8dKlVkkTRkNncgoUUg-D After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.During this AGM, we will be holding elections for new members to join the Committee. All committee positions are available for nomination, and you can find more information about Committee functions and meetings in the A FinGeo se envolve com uma variedade de temas e focos de pesquisa sobrepostos e complementares, incluindo, mas não limitado a: Constitution. Please note that according to the Constitution the core positions of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer should be filled by an existing Committee Member, while new Committee Members can take on any other roles. The candidate(s) for Chair needs to secure a nomination from at least two FinGeo members. The candidates for positions of Secretary and Treasurer needs to secure a nomination of at least one FinGeo member each to qualify for the election. If no suitable candidate(s) present themselves, who would meet the Committee experience criterion, the post(s) will be open for election for any FinGeo member(s) who secure the required nominations. Applications for Committee roles should be sent to the Secretary (karen.lai@durham.ac.uk) by 6th February 2023. Please submit your CV and a short motivation statement (1-2 paragraphs) detailing your vision and reasons for particular position(s), including names of nominators for positions of Chair/Secretary/Treasurer. Candidates information will be circulated to members 7 days before the AGM date. Voting and approval of applications will take place during the AGM.
