🌐 Global Research Forum: Geopolitics and Geoeconomics of Finance

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Second Global Financial Geography (FinGeo) ConferenceĀ and the Third FinGeo School, organized by the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.Ā This global research forum will take place from February 24 to 28, 2025, at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House, Kent Ridge Campus, Singapore.

The event will commence with a two-day FinGeo School (February 24–25), tailored for early-career scholars, followed by a three-day conference (February 26–28) that will bring together researchers from diverse disciplines to explore the geopolitics and geoeconomics of finance.

Key themes include:

  • Coupling, decoupling, and recoupling in global financial networks

  • Geopolitics of financial infrastructures

  • Illicit financial flows and networks

  • Platform economies and AI technology in global finance

  • Climate finance and carbon colonialism

  • Financial inclusion, precarity, and debt

This forum aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars from the Global South and North, nurturing collaborations and advancing research in financial geography.
