Online FinGeo Workshop: Financial Geography in Central Asia

The Global Network on Financial Geography (FinGeo) invites you to an online workshop titled “Financial Geography in Central Asia: Towards a Research Agenda for Regional Development and Financial Integration”, which will take place on 19 May 2026 (16:00–18:00 GMT+5).

The workshop will bring together scholars and practitioners to discuss recent developments in financial geography across Central Asia and to collectively explore priorities for future research in the region. A key objective of the session is to contribute to shaping a research agenda that addresses regional development challenges and processes of financial integration.

The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the next steps for the proposed FinGeo School and Regional Seminar in Central Asia, tentatively planned for 2027 in Tashkent.
